If you were fortunate enough to have grabbed a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional for the student price of $29..99, you might have scratched your head a bit after downloading the product. The download unpacked into a folder with an “.exe” file that when opened began the upgrade process.
But what if you wanted to make a dvd image for future use or an upgrade onto a different machine? There are a variety of ways to accomplish this, but as reported at downloadsquad.com, there is a simple way to get it done. In a few steps, you will have a nice, clean dvd of your new Windows 7 operating system. Check out the tutorial here. Note- In step 4, some have found that the following command line will work, not the command line in the original instructions (this has been verified):
oscdimg -bC:\expandedSetup\boot\etfsboot.com -h -u2 -m -lWIN_EN_DVD C:\expandedSetup\ C:\7.iso
Good Luck!
