pcscoutWindows 7 is arriving on the scene along with a whole slew of laptops that support the new operating system. Adding to the confusion, we now have devices called “netbooks” that are slightly different than our usual laptop computers. Doing the research and spending time to make informed decisions can result in the purchase of a good laptop at a great price.

Microsoft has stepped into the arena with a new service called PC Scout.  Sporting  a user interface that perhaps seems a little too polished and slick, PC Scout offers some useful tools for making that purchase decision.  After taking you through a fairly thorough selection process based on your preferences, usage, and budget, PC Scout will also point you to reputable brand computer websites should you decide to purchase a computer. Anyone in the market for a new laptop will find this tool a useful one.
