The days of a strictly Latin alphabet based internet may be coming to an end. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Number, or ICANN which is the governing organization for the internet “naming” system is ready to introduce non-Latin based domain names. As early as next month, domain names may start to include characters unfamiliar to the world of English language users. It might be time to install more language packs. (BBC)
